You can permanently delete your Chartera account and associated data at any time, at no cost, with no questions asked.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open Chartera.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm with Face ID or your device passcode.
Your data is queued for deletion immediately and fully removed from our systems within 30 days.
Option 2 — Delete by email
Send an email from the address associated with your Chartera account to support@chartera.pro with the word DELETE in the subject. We verify ownership and process the request within 7 business days, and confirm by email when it's complete.
What gets deleted
- Your authentication records (email, sign-in identifiers, session tokens).
- Watchlists, saved symbols, and chart preferences.
- Your AI chat history.
- Your subscription entitlement record on our side (see the note below about Apple billing).
- Device identifiers associated with your account.
What we keep (and why)
- Aggregated / anonymized usage statistics — once stripped of identifiers, this data can no longer be linked to you and is retained indefinitely for product improvement.
- Billing and tax records — where legally required, we retain evidence of transactions for up to 7 years.
- Security logs — limited server logs may be retained for up to 90 days for fraud and abuse prevention.
Important: cancel your subscription first
Deleting your Chartera account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. Cancel first so you are not billed again:
iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Chartera → Cancel Subscription.
